Empowering women through ICT (Spider ICT4D Series, 2012) http://goo.gl/Fo0gW

In March 2008, The Swedish Program for ICT in Developing Regions (Spider) and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) gender help desk organized a workshop on gender, ICT and development. The Ethnos Project is now cross-posting on Blogger

The Ethnos Project is now cross-posting on Blogger.
The Ethnos Project is a research blog and information resource exploring the cultural impacts of information and communications technologies (ICTs) when used to
  • affect social change,
  • sustain and stimulate the rapidly disappearing traditions and languages of Indigenous peoples, and
  • improve the quality of life of people on their own cultural terms.
This site is for scholars, activists, government agencies, non-governmental cultural organizations, Indigenous groups, and others interested in the use of ICTs for Indigenous knowledge management (IKM), language preservation, development (ICT4D), digital humanities, and more.
By way of introduction, please peruse this post list from the Ethnos Project website (as of October 2, 2012).
